2021 Mr. Discovery Competition

Main fundraiser for Discovery High School PTSA. 100% of ALL Proceeds go directly to the PTSA in funding programs, technology, scholarships that benefit the Discovery Parents, Teachers and Students. Participants compete for the opportunity to represent their community along with their school and have the most exciting year of their life experiencing the Discovery PTSA Family and all that it offers: friendship, leadership, and the opportunity to make a difference in our community. Participation Fee $40*

This is a male scholarship competition that judges young men on leadership skills, grooming, social service, and athleticism.

There are five categories that comprise the Mr. Discovery Titan competition. All five categories are mandatory and are used to determine the title winners for each division.
Costume Fashion (Fun Fashion): Costume Fashion showcases each contestant’s ability to fun creative styles. Judges consider each contestant’s choice of attire, style, fashion-appeal, and presence.
Social Service: Contestants can use a wide range of tools to present their community work including but not limited to: multimedia presentation, posters, flyers, brochures, reports, website/online content, etc.
Runway Fashion: Runway Fashion showcases each contestant’s ability to model fashion befitting for the runway. Judges consider each contestant’s choice of attire, style, fashion-appeal, and presence. All choices should be tasteful, current, and relevant.
Athleticism: Athleticism displays each contestant’s ability toward physical activities, not just sports. Judges consider each contestant’s sense of confidence, presence, and activity involvement/degree of difficulty.
Formalwear: Formalwear reveals each contestant’s charm and poise. Formalwear choices must not be business attire; however, trendy selections of high-fashion formalwear are acceptable. His gentleman’s style and class will be considered far more than the apparel alone.
**On-Stage Question: Applies to the HS Finalists in each division. It carries a percentage amount combined with all other scored categories.
