Welcome to the Discovery Cluster PTA Website

                                                         Birth of the Discovery Cluster: We are Titans!
In August 2015, Discovery High School opened its doors and the Discovery Cluster was officially in operation. The cluster was created to reduce the over enrollment and expanded growth in the areas of the Berkmar, Brookwood, Central Gwinnett, and Meadow Creek clusters.   With new lines drawn to create the new cluster, many families were transferred into a new environment and were unsure of what to expect.  In the years since its creation, the Discovery Cluster has flourished and the PTA/PTSA has been an integral part in all of the schools.

PTSA is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit association that prides itself on being a powerful voice for all children, a relevant resource for families and communities, and a strong advocate for public education. Membership in PTSA is open to anyone who wants to be involved and make a difference for the education, health, and welfare of children and youth.

Vision of PTSA:  Every child’s potential is a reality.

Mission of PTA/PTSA: To make every child's potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children.

Values of PTA/PTSA:
Collaboration, Commitment, Accountability, Respect, Inclusivity, Integrity.

Purposes of the PTA/PTSA
  • To promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school, places of worship, and throughout the community;
  • To raise the standards of home life;
  • To advocate for laws that further the education, physical and mental health, welfare, and safety of children and youth;
  • To promote the collaboration and engagement of families and educators in the education of children and youth;
  • To engage the public in united efforts to secure the physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and social well-being of all children and youth; and
  • To advocate for fiscal responsibility regarding public tax dollars in public education funding.

PTA is a rewarding way to give back to the community and support our kids.

The major source of PTA/PTSA funding is your membership!
The PTA/PTSA promotes education and extra-curricular activities at our schools. These programs are funded solely by the membership drive and school-wide fundraisers.  Our parents work very hard to raise money for educational supplies & scholarships, athletic equipment, student activities, and staff appreciation at the Discovery Cluster schools.

Please join us in working to make every child's potential a reality.
